2015 Progressive Insurance® St. Louis Boat and Sportshow

Happy Friday! It’s time for a fun-filled weekend in St. Louis. If you are still pulling your plans together, here are a few suggestions to help make this a memorable weekend.

Art in Bloom – March 6 – 8
At this three-day festival, renowned works of art from the Museum’s collection are imaginatively interpreted through floral design. Experience fresh floral displays throughout the galleries created by talented designers in the region, paired with the Museum’s works of art along with live music, workshops, and more.

Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Tournament – March 5 – 8
Cheer on your favorite teams during the annual #ArchMadness Missouri Valley Tournament. Eight teams will face off beginning March 5; the championship game will be Sunday at Scottrade Center.  Don’t have tickets? Head over to Come by Ballpark Village, the official Valley Fan Hangout for the Missouri Valley Conference Arch Madness and catch all the games on the largest screen in the region at FOX Sports Midwest Live!

March Morpho Mania – through March 31
March brings a very special kind of madness to the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House with their annual March Morpho Mania® event that fills the tropical conservatory with metallic blue morpho butterflies.

2015 Progressive Insurance® St. Louis Boat and Sportshow – March 5 – 8
Anchors Away! This weekend head to America’s Center for the St. Louis Boat and Sportshow, where you can shop the latest boats, gear and accessories all in one place. Plus, the show features numerous special attractions like the free catch-and-release Trout Pond, Be a Diver’ pool where guests can try scuba diving or a free cooking seminar where guests can sample and learn to cook Asian Carp – making a day at the show fun for the whole family.gear.

Chinese Lantern Festival – March 7 – 8
The Lantern Festival is a yearly tradition in China, culminating the Chinese New Year Celebration. With the help of St. Louis Modern Chinese School and Chinese Culture and Education Services, the magic of the Lantern Festival comes to The Magic House with Chinese face painting and lunar calendar, Chinese tea ceremony, lion dance, and Chinese arts and crafts.
