Six Flags St. Louis Opening Weekend | March 25 – 27
The wait is over as Six Flags St. Louis’ Opening Weekend has arrived to bring back all the thrills and excitement you’ve been waiting for. To crank up the fun, Six Flags will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Screamin’ Eagle that opened in 1976 and once held a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world.
A Tribute to Clark Terry with Byron Stipling & The Jazz St. Louis Big Band | March 25 – 26
Trumpeter Clark Terry, a St. Louis native and one of the greatest influences on jazz and jazz education in the music’s rich history, passed away on February 21, 2015. In honor of his great legacy, the Jazz St. Louis Big Band will perform the music of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, as well as the newly commissioned “CT Suite – Three Portraits in Blues,” joined by one of Terry’s premier proteges, Byron Stripling. The suite, commissioned by Stripling’s Columbus Jazz Orchestra, features three movements reflecting on the jubilant life of Mr. Terry, composed by Dennis Mackrel, John Clayton, and Chad Eby. Jazz St. Louis has commissioned local trombonist Cody Henry to compose a fourth movement for the “CT Suite.”

If you haven’t already make your way over to the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House for the last weekend to enjoy the beauty of a rainforest and see the largest collection of Blue Morpho butterflies in the United States all in one place.
Easter Concours d’Elegance Car Show | March 27
An Easter Parade of Corvettes, Mustangs and Packards, the 53rd annual Easter Concours d’Elegance is a festive celebration of a large variety of street rods, classic cars, street machines, mini trucks and other autos on display. You can catch this annual car show in Forest Park at The Muny upper parking lot.
