Soulard Oktoberfest – October 10 – 12
Be German for the weekend and head to historic Soulard to take part in the annual Oktoberfest festivities. The three-day event toasts its 11th year with German Folk Dancers, German foods and German beers along with a selection of popular local and domestic beers, and a full carnival. Known as one of the largest Oktoberfests in the country, St. Louis’ iconic celebration is expected to bring large crowds
3rd Annual Moonlight Mile 5k Walk/Run – October 11, 2014
Enjoy the cool air under the moonlight at this nighttime run/walk. Glow in the dark face paint and glow sticks will help light the way as you weave throughout the complex and Monarch Levee Trail.
The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes – Through January 4, 2015
The International Exhibit of Sherlock Holmes is now open at the St. Louis Science Center. This exciting interactive experience combines science with history and culture. You will see a dazzling array of original manuscripts, publications, period artifacts, film and television props and costumes. You will also learn to use investigative tools and techniques from Holmes himself, and test yourself with exciting, interactive crime-solving opportunities. As Holmes says, “Hurry along! The game is afoot!”
American Art Experience – through October 19
Through October 19, St. Louis will be the center of the art world! The American Arts Experience will enter venues across the city with productions of theatre, dance, music, art and- new for this year- literature. For 17 consecutive days, concert halls, museums, theaters, universities and outdoor spaces will come to life to celebrate artists, musicians and playwrights with memorable events and shows sure to be the highlight of the fall season.
The Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race – Sunday, October 12
Dress up in your best Halloween costume for the Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race on Sunday, Oct. 13. This race features four events: a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K and a one-mile fun run. After the race, participants will enjoy pumpkin pie and costume contests. Registration here.
St. Louis Cardinals NLCS Game 1 and 2
There’s tons going on this weekend in St. Louis, but The Cardinals are taking on the San Francisco Giants in the National Leaque Championship, and the first two games are right here in St. Louis. Fans can join in on the pre-game pep rally in ballpark village before both games with That One Guy” Todd Thomas as emcee, Team Fredbird, giveaways, Budweiser experiences and more!
