Garden Glow | through January 9
Walk through the hundreds of thousands of lights light display, then take in the Victorian Christmas decorations at Tower Grove House. Garden Glow also has live holiday music, snacks and shopping. Garden Glow is open most evenings during the Christmas season from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Anheuser Busch Holiday Light Experience | through January 3
See the Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis all decked out for the holidays. The brewery is hosting free walking tours, along with free samples of AB products during Brewery Lights. There are also food stations, a s’mores station and a special VIP holiday package. The display is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m
Holiday Floral and Train Show | through January 2
Every year, the garden sets up G-scale trains among an elaborate display made up of living plants, including more than 500 poinsettias.
The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! | through January 2
This exhibition at the Saint Louis Science Center allows visitors to explore the real science behind the unbelievable, and has something of interest to everyone. Young children will be thrilled as they crawl through a life-size model of the prehistoric snake, Titanoboa, and revel at its incredible size! Teens will be amazed by the portrait of Justin Bieber made entirely of candy, while adults will marvel at intricate micro-sculptures so small they fit in the eye of a needle.
Winter Jewels: A Holiday Celebration | January 3
A trip to the tropics may not be an option during the holidays, but you can still enjoy a small touch of a warmer climate during the cold St. Louis winter during Winter Jewels at the Butterfly House in Faust Park. Step inside the temperate conservatory and see the beautiful butterflies and lush plants at the Butterfly House.
Wicked | through January 3
Perhaps one of the most successful Broadway musical of all time, Wicked comes to the Fabulous Fox Theatre to tell the story of Glinda the Good Witch and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, long before Dorothy ever arrived in Oz. With Grammy-award winning music and four Tony Awards, this is a show that the whole family is sure to enjoy.
U.S. Bank Wild Lights | through January 3
Go a little wild this holiday season with Wild Lights at the St. Louis Zoo. If you’ve never been to the zoo on a winter evening, this is a real treat. Walk through the exhibits as they come alive with more than 500,000 lights (see pictures of the display). Kids can hear holiday stories and adults can do a little shopping at the Holiday Zootique. See Wild Lights 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
