St. Louis FireworksIndependence Day in St. Louis means parades, music, fireworks and fun. Here are several places to spend your 4th of July weekend 2014 in St. Louis.

Fair Saint Louis
Fair Saint Louis has been a 4th of July tradition for more than three decades. The festivities are July 3, 4, and 5 at Art Hill in Forest Park.  Kids can enjoy games and crafts at the Family Festival Zone. There will be food to fit any taste bud and refreshing cold drinks.  The free concerts this year include, The Band Perry, Bonnie Raitt, and The Fray are this years headliners.  Make sure you stick around after the concert as you don’t want to miss the fireworks display. Webster Groves Community Days
Community Days in Webster Groves is a four-day celebration featuring a carnival, BBQ, parade and fireworks. It’s truly an old-fashioned event that draws visitors from around the St. Louis area. The festival’s held July 2nd through 5th at Memorial Park, just south of Interstate 44 off the Elm Avenue exit.

St. Charles Riverfest
St. Charles has played an important role in American history and the town likes to show off its community pride at a celebration called Riverfest. This celebration is held each year along the banks of the Missouri River in Frontier Park in St. Charles, Missouri. Riverfest is a fun way to celebrate the 4th with carnival rides, a parade and fireworks.

Alton’s Fireworks Over the Mississippi
With the Clark Bridge as a backdrop over the Mississippi, this fireworks show is a crowd-pleaser! Alton’s Fireworks Over the Mississippi is held at Riverfront Park. There’s food, beer, live entertainment and a big fireworks display, set against the beautiful Clark Bridge.

Bixby’s 4th of July Brunch
In conjunction with Fair Saint Louis, Bixby’s will host a special breakfast buffet on Friday, July 4th.  The buffet spread will include some of Bixby’s most popular brunch items, including their buttermilk biscuits topped with sausage gravy, mini waffles with fresh berries and a well-stocked omelet station. Brunch is $17.75 per adult, $12.50 per child and will be available from 7-10am, which allows guests plenty of time to catch the parade. For reservations, call 314.361.7313.

Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest
Celebrate Independence Day weekend at Six Flags. Each day Six Flags will kick off with an exclusive ride time on some of Six Flags most popular rides. Anyone who presents an unopened Coca-Cola product, along with park admission or a Season Pass, will be able to ride select rides an hour before the park opens, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. At the Coca-Cola July 4 Zone, dance to patriotic music and participate in games to win prizes. For the best view of the nightly fireworks display, head to the plaza in front of BATMAN The Ride. All Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists will receive complimentary admission to the theme park with a valid U.S. military ID

Freedom 4 Miller & Family Fun Run
The Schnucks Freedom 4 Miler begins on July 5 at 7:00 a.m. and the one-mile Family Fun Run take place at 8:30 a.m. Event highlights include finisher medals and a costume contest.

City of Bridgeton – Bridgeton Municipal Athletic Complex
Parade: 10am with festivities at BMAC starting at 6pm with fireworks at 9:15

City of Ferguson – January-Wabash Park
Festivities at park begin at 11am with Fireworks at 9:20

City of Florissant – James J. Eagan Civic Center
Festivities begin at 7:30pm with fireworks at 9:30

Ritenour Community Display – Ritenour High School
Festivities begin at 7:30pm with fireworks at 9:20

9th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at Chesterfield Mall
The 9th Annuul 4th of July Firework Celebration includes a free concert by Vote for Pedro on the Jim Butler Kia Main Stage from 7:00 p.m.-9:15 p.m., food trucks and food vendors, a Kids’ Zone featuring clowns, a stilt walker, and inflatables for kids of all ages. The fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m.

Laclede’s Landing Downtown Hoedown
Join the Laclede’s Landing for fun, food, drinks, and great music at the Downtown Hoedown on 4th of July Weekend.

Friday July 4th — 5pm – 11pm
Saturday July 5th — 11am – 11pm
Sunday July 6th — 11pm – 4pm

JB Blast
JB Blast is a free celebration at Jefferson Barracks Park in South St. Louis County. There is live music by the U.S. Air Force Band at the Veteran’s Memorial Amphitheater. The evening ends with a big fireworks display.

Mt. Vernon July 4th Veterans Salute to Freedom
Celebrate the Fourth of July with live entertainment, food, children’s activities and a fireworks display.  Gates open at 5:30 and fireworks begin at dusk.
