Claim to Fame: An original “Ikette” back-up singer with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue and a member of the Nightrippers who performed with Dr. John of Right Place, Wrong Time fame. She can be heard on recordings with the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and the Supremes and sang live on tour with B.B. King, Marvin Gaye, Rod Stewart, Elton John and other superstars of the music world. Young audiences best know Miss Robbie as the chief cook and mother figure at her St. Louis restaurants that are featured in the OWN Network reality show, Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s.

Neighborhood: Grew up in the Yeatman neighborhood of St. Louis. Operates two Sweetie Pie’s locations: The Grove and Sweetie Pie’s Upper Crust in Grand Center.

Passion: Family and food. Robbie learned to cook by her mother’s side in their St. Louis kitchen and has never stopped making culinary magic. She served up beautiful background vocals on stage and, after shows, crafted delectable soul food for her bandmates. When health issues halted her singing career, Robbie’s dream of opening a restaurant starring her mother’s recipes became a reality…and a reality television show. Sweetie’s Pie Kitchen is St. Louis’ go to place for comfort food.
