10 Events Happening in St. Louis this September

The final days of summer are here, but September in St. Louis is still filled with great events.  Here are some of our picks for what to do in St. Louis this September.

Saint Louis Art Fair | September 8th – 10th

If you want to see one of the best art fairs in the country, head to Clayton Business District for the annual St. Louis Art Fair. This three day exhibition of visual and performing arts features the fine art works from 181 nationally recognized artists.

LouFest Music Festival |  September 9th – 10th

Loufest descends upon Forest Park for twos day of national, regional and local artists and more. The 2017 LouFest lineup includes Weezer, Snoop Dogg, Cage the Elephant, Run the Jewels, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Spoon, Huey Lewis & the News and more

St. Louis Symphony Free Concert in Forest Park | September 13

Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and enjoy St. Louis Symphony’s FREE concert in Forest Park at 7pm. The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra performs classical favorites at the base of Art Hill, closing with an impressive firework display. Invite your family and friends to join us for one of St. Louis’ favorite musical events of the year!

Taste of St. Louis | September 15th – 17th

The best restaurants in town will be showing off their finest dishes at the Taste of St. Louis. The three day event features food, art, music, cooking demonstrations and more. The Taste of St. Louis will be held at the Chesterfield Amphitheater. Admission is free.

Great Forest Park Balloon Glow and Balloon Race | September 15th – 16th

Founded in 1973, The Great Forest Park Balloon Race is celebrating its 45th year. Come out and enjoy one of St. Louis’ most popular events.  It all begins with the Balloon Glow on Friday night. Then, crowds return to Forest Park the following day for the big race.  Along with the balloon races, the event also features pony rides, local musical entertainment and concessions. It’s full of family fun!

HOP in the City Beer Festival | September 16th

Schlafly’s Hop in the City returns. This year enjoy over 40 of Schlafly’s handcrafted brews, a great lineup of live music and tasty food offerings. Tickets are on sale on Schlafly’s website.

South Grand Fall Fest | September 16th

The South Grand Business District will be hosting their fourth annual Fall Festival September 16, 2017. The event is to celebrate what makes South Grand and its surrounding community unique, which will incorporate local artists and musicians, dancers, and, most of all, great restaurants, services and shops.

The Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival | September 16th

Non-stop jazz and blues music from two stages showcasing St. Louis’ most talented performers plus food and drink from area restaurants. There will also be street entertainers with face-painting, juggling and balloons.

Q in the Lou | September 29th – October 1st

Bar-b-que lovers can enjoy all their favorites at Q in the Lou in Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis. The three-day festival features top BBQ chefs from all over the country cooking up their most popular recipes, great live music, and of course, the best barbecue in America.

The Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival | September 22nd – 24th

The Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival celebrates the food, music and cultures of Latin America. This year, the annual event will be held at Soulard Park just south of downtown St. Louis. The three day festival is truly a feast for the senses. There are Mexican salsa bands, folk dancers and popular Hispanic food.
