Fall is here in St. Louis! Here are twelve events happening in St. Louis this October.

Grovefest | October 2

A vibrant street festival like no other. The mile-long district that stretches along Manchester Avenue that has everything from drag and dance floors to coffee shops, breweries and chicken and waffle restaurants puts on a vibrant street festival like no other. A family area, street performers (on stilts, too), wall food, main stage shows and sights unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Historic Shaw Art Fair | October 2 – 3

Great art by 130 artists along the beautiful tree-lined parkway of Flora Place at Tower Grove Avenue across from the Missouri Botanical Garden. Food, music, and of course…art!

Landmarks St. Louis Walking Tours | (Saturdays through October)

From the bustling Riverfront of the French-American entrepreneurs to the 20th century skyscrapers, this tour highlights the Old Courthouse, Eads Bridge, the Gateway Arch and the Old Post Office, to name a few.

Enjoy a full day of relaxing on the Illinois and Might Mississippi rivers. The all-inclusive ticket pricing includes professional storytelling, wildlife sightings, ragtime piano, live entertainment and plenty of relaxation.

Boo at the Zoo | October 15 – 31

Join this not-so-scary adventure: strolling entertainers, stage shows, non-gory-ous Halloween decorations, Dinoroarus selfies, and rides on the Zooline Railroad.

Fright Fest at Six Flags St. Louis | Through October 31

Bone-chilling thrills and themed rides. Haunted attractions in the Slaughterhouse and Odd Ball’s Funhouse, as well as scare zones filled with zombies, clowns, vampires and more. The frights are calling you.

St. Louis Beer Fest | October 16

Get crafty! With more than 40 breweries, 120 beers and access throughout the St. Louis Science Center, this year’s Beer Fest is truly unique. Admission includes samplings from participating breweries, as well as access to all the exhibits.

Booterfly House | Daily Through October 31

Visit the bewitching bugs and botanicals at the Butterfly House. Meet new frightful friends in the Creepy Crawly Cave, watch out for Botanicals Gone Made in the Conservatory and spy on spectacular spiders with the Muffet Family.

Outdoor Story  Time: Forest Park | Thursday in October

Bring a blanket and join in on this fun storytime in the great outdoors. St. Louis Public Library is offering weekly storytimes in the Anne O’C. Albrecht Nature Playscape’s Meadow area.

Union Station Train or Treat | October 8 – 31

A family-friendly Haunted Maze with favorite Halloween characters, pumpkins in the Train Patch and walkthrough journeys on the historic train cars will keep the surprises coming. Perfect for children 12 and under. Wear your costumes and watch the Fire & Light show.

Apple Butter Festival | Oct. 30 – 31

Apples, apples and more apples. Beginning before dawn and continuing throughout each day of the festival, the large kettles are filled with apples, and cooked over a wood burning fire until the fragrant spread is thick enough to be sealed in jars. Food, drink, craft vendors, a petting zoo and pony rides fill out the day.
