The Muny: Meet Me in St. Louis | August 4 – 12, 2018

The 100th season at the Muny comes to close with the production of Meet Me In St. Louis.  Based on the heartwarming 1944 MGM Film, Meet Me In St. Louis paints a wholesome portrait of a turn of the century American family.  Set in the summer of 1903, the Smiths eagerly await the grand opening of the 1904 World’s Fair.  With hits such as “Trolley Song,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and “The Boy Next Door.”.  Come to Forest Park to enjoy this amazing musical at 8:15pm!

Flora Borealis at the Missouri Botanical Garden | Through August 26

Beginning at dusk each night, Flora Borealis visitors will embark on a 1-mile journey through iconic Garden locations transformed through a combination of lights, moving images, and sounds that bring the Garden to life like never before. Doors Open at 7 p.m. for all ticket holders to stroll the Garden grounds until sunset, explore the Biergarten, and enjoy family-friendly activities before your Flora Borealis experience begins. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Blues at the Arch | August 3, 10, 17 and 24 2018

The National Blues Museum and Gateway Arch Park Foundation are once again teaming up to bring the third-annual, FREE concert series Blues at the Arch! Award-winning guitarist, Zac Harmon will be performing with a distinctive style combining the best of old school soul blues with modern lyrics that bring the blues into a new century. That’s not all! Up and coming Little Dylan will be performing too, being a 17 year old Blues and Soul prodigy who picked up professionally in 2016. You don’t want to miss this night of chill vibes at the historical Arch stating at 6 pm!

Art Hill Film Series: The Never Ending Story | August 3, 2018

Embark on an incredible journey with the St. Louis Art Museum at the Art Hill Film Series! Located in Forest Park, the historical Art Hill will have you mesmerized by the amazing films being projected. In this particular film, a troubled boy reads a magical book and dives into a wondrous fantasy world threatened by “The Nothing,” a darkness that destroys everything. The party begins at 6 p.m. film starts at 9 p.m. Come out and join the fun!

St. Louis Veg Fest | August 4, 2018

This will be the first time in St. Louis history that VegFest will take place and we want it to be spectacular. VegFest has a program of entertainment, cooking demonstrations, product samples, and giveaways, in addition to vendors from exceptional local businesses and organizations. No matter what your interest, you are sure to find this free event exciting and inspiring. Be sure to arrive at the World’s Fair Pavilion, starting at 11 am to participate in the fun!

Rascal Flatts | August 4, 2018

The incredible Rascal Flatts will be in town performing at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater! This American country group has been making hits since 1999. Dan + Shay and Carly Pearce will also be featured. These performances will have you feeling like Life is a Highway. There will be food, beverage, and merchandise available to purchase. Chesterfield Concert Series | August 7 and 14, 2018

The 31st Chesterfield Concert Series has arrived! This free event will be located at Faust Park. There will be food trucks and concession stands, fireworks, face painting and more! Be sure to look out for The Stackhouse, Seoul Taco, and Wetzel Pretzels just to name a few. This is an event for the entire family to enjoy. Starting at 7 pm, you don’t want to miss out on the fun!

Gateway Motorsports Park’s 2018 Bommarito Automotive 500 Verizon IndyCar Series race is around the corner. The race is in its second year of a multi-year agreement with INDYCAR. Festival of Nations | August 25-26

Big Muddy Blues Festival | August 31 – September 3, 2018

The Big Muddy Blue Festival provides a platform for a wide range of artists who represent extensions of the Blues genre, such as, soul, R&B, rockabilly, gospel and jazz. Big Muddy is the region’s largest Blues music event features over 18 hours of music and scores of bands on multiple stages throughout the cobblestone streets of Laclede’s Landing, while boasting the Big Muddy (Mississippi River) itself as the iconic river backdrop for the weekend.
