5 Things to Do in St. Louis this Weekend 12/6 – 12/8
Happy Friday, everyone! Here are five things you’ll want to make sure you do in St. Louis this weekend.
A Christmas Carol – December 5 – 8
Watch “A Christmas Carol” performed at the Fabulous Fox Theatre by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan for one weekend only. This most widely produced retelling of the Dickens classic follows Scrooge as he journeys on Christmas eve with the ghosts from the past, present and future while weaving some traditional carols to sing along to as well.
Paws n Clause – December 7
Santa Claus will pose with furry friends at Treats Unleashed – St. Louis at Taubman Prestige Outlets on Saturday, December 7th and December 14th from 11am until 3pm. Family pets that take a photo with Santa Claus will receive a doggy treat and 4×6 photo. A donation will be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis for photos taken.
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker – December 8
Witness the timeless Christmas tale at the Peabody Opera House with a new, dramatized perspective special to the Moscow Ballet. Along with a tribute to world peace, attendees can see two dancers become one bird with a 20-foot wingspan in “Dove of Peace,” which will escort Masha and Prince to the “Land of Peace.
4th Annual Window Walk – December 7
Walk through a Winter Wonderland in the Central West End and kick off the holiday season in local style at the 4th Annual Window Walk Festival. This Saturday from 1 – 7 p.m. Stroll among elaborately decorated windows, enjoy live entertainment and discounts at select merchants, all away from the hustle and bustle of the mall crowds. Take a picture with a Budweiser Clydesdale, stay for a tree-lighting and the introduction of celebrity judges for the window decorating competition.
First Annual Crestwood “Nite of Lights – Give and Glow Celebration” – December 6
Family fun is coming to the Sappington House in Crestwood this weekend. Explore Grant’s Trail lit up with more than 350 luminaries from Big Bend to Watson Road. The Friends of Father Dickson cemetery will showcase their new historical walking tour with bright torches lit throughout the grounds of the property along with a performance from The Community Gospel Singers. The grounds of the Sappington House will be aglow with 5 bonfires and The Barn will offer complimentary hot chocolate and spiced cider on their back porch as local carolers perform holiday music and Santa Claus is scheduled to arrive via bicycle at 6:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
