5 Things to Do in St. Louis this Weekend 5/31-6/2
Happy Friday, everyone! Here are five things you’ll want to make sure you do in St. Louis this weekend:
Indihop in Cherokee Street and The Grove Neighborhoods – 6/1
Celebrate two unique, vibrant neighborhoods and the flavors of 50 different beers from local breweries like O’Fallon and Schlafly at the second-annual IndiHop. As you hop from venue to venue, neighborhood to neighborhood, be entertained by live musicians and performers as you sample tasty craft beers. Four shuttles will safely transport you to your next neighborhood destination. The event run time is 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission $20
Midtown Taste & Art Fair – 6/1-2
The tree lined streets of MidTown St. Louis along Locust Avenue come alive for this juried fine arts, music and food festival. Over 150 fine artists, 40 restaurants, entertainment, crafters, a wine garden, food truck challenge and more featured. The even run time is Saturday, June 1 – 10 am to Midnight and Sunday, June 2 – 10 am to 6 pm
Big Truck Day at the Kemp Auto Museum – 6/2
More than 40 vehicles representing the top monster, military and performance trucks in St. Louis will be at the Kemp Auto Museum this Sunday. Visitors can board the vehicles and see the inner workings of trucks from MoDOT, new and antique fire trucks, tractors, hummers and more along with live music. Refreshments, snow cones and BBQ will be available for purchase at this free family fun event. Nonperishable food items will be collected for Operation Food Search. This event runs time is Sunday, June 2 at 10 a.m. Admission FREE
Taste of Clayton – 6/2
This annual family event features the specialties of Clayton’s top restaurants. Restaurateurs offer samplings in exchange for taste tickets. There will also be a Taste, Jr., an interactive area for kids with fun activities and special food items. All tastes are $2. Other highlights include music from Griffin & the Gargoyles, Fat Pocket and Groovethang and evening fireworks. The event run time is Sunday, June 2 at 12:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Kimmswick Strawberry Festival – 6/1-2
Kimmswick overflows with strawberries. If it is made with strawberries you will find it at this festival. Everything from Fresh Strawberries, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and Strawberry Cheesecake, to Strawberry Iced Tea. Craft and food vendors line the streets as live entertainers perform at several areas throughout town. This years Strawberry Festival will also offer a petting zoo, pony rides, horse drawn carriage rides, a jazz festival, and even a Polka Band.
