Enjoy Historic Saint Louis’ Landscapes of Summertime Past event on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Visit multiple historic sites and learn how the outdoors complement the inside spaces. See how our ancestors connected with the land and enjoy summertime activities. Be inspired and take home your own landscape painting in your mind’s eye.
Take a walking tour of Forest Park in partnership with the Missouri History Museum’s Beyond the Ballot exhibit and learn about the impact made by important women in history all while exploring Forest Park like you haven’t before! The tour takes place Saturday, August 15 at 10 a.m. Reservation required.
Visit Cahokia Mounds, the site of the largest prehistoric Indian city north of Mexico. In addition to a World-Class Interpretive Center, Cahokia Mounds offers 2,200 acres of the original site, 800 of which are accessible to the public. No trip is complete without climbing the 100 ft. Monks Mound! Tours of the grounds are offered twice a day.
Take a walking tour of Old North and St. Louis Place, two of St. Louis’ oldest neighborhoods, on a See St. Louis Tour. In Old North, stroll through streets where the 19th century feels just around the corner. In St. Louis Place, get up close and personal with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s immense new campus. There just might be a milkshake with your name on it!
Submerge yourself in the Early Victorian era as you walk through The Field House Museum. A tribute to the time when its original owners lived in the house, you’ll get to see collections of Field Family items, including the Toy Collection and Book Collection.
