Fall Art Fair at Queeny Park | August 30 – September 1

The Art Fair at Queeny Park is one of the most popular and longest running art fairs in the region.  See up to 130 juried artists from over 20 states displaying their original works of fine art and crafts, which range from printmaking, ceramics, photography, jewelry, glass, sculpture, painting, and more.

St. Louis Greek Festival | August 30 – September 2

Tour the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, shop for souvenirs from Greece at the gift shop, and enjoy folk music and dancing. Of course, you can also tuck into classic dishes, including spanakopita and gyros—and be sure you leave room for baklava.

St. Charles Riverfest | August 30 – 31

Celebrate the 4th of July in August at Riverfest. The festival was pushed back due to early summer flooding, but Frontier Park is high and dry now. Enjoy carnival rides, the Bubble Bus, and live bands. And see fireworks on Saturday, beginning at 9:20 pm.

Pompeii: The Exhibition | Through November 3

A volcano awakens, a city vanishes. Relive the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius and the rediscovery of the Roman city of Pompeii at the Saint Louis Science Center with more than 150 authentic artifacts and engaging interactives.

Japanese Festival | August 31 – September 2

The Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden is a can’t miss! Ancient art forms and traditions will be on display, including sumo wrestling and taiko (musical and communicative drumming on giant instruments), as well as bonsai (tiny trees) and ikebana (exquisitely arranged flowers) in the Orthwein Floral Display Hall.
