Brookedale Farms Balloon Glow | July 27
Visit Eureka’s Brookedale Farms for their hot air balloon spectacle, Balloon Glow. Guests that have a love for heights and are seeking a bird’s eye view of the festivities can go up in an air balloon themselves! For those wanting to stay put on the ground, activities include a petting zoo, inflatables for kids, musical entertainment, fireworks, and of course the balloon glow! Don’t worry about dinner beforehand; food and beverage vendors will be in attendance as well. The fun begins at 4 pm.
St. Louis Brewer’s Picnic | Friday, July 26
The official opening ceremonies of 2019 St. Louis Craft Beer Week! This is a family-friendly city picnic, featuring beers from local breweries! Enjoy craft beer, delicious fare from Baileys’ Range, live music, and fun activities. This free event is open to the public, with beer and food for purchase, and is located outdoors on Locust Street between 10th and 11th.
World Bird Sanctuary | Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day
See fascinating and exotic birds, mammals, and reptiles in action at the World Bird Sanctuary Amphitheatre. The Sanctuary’s naturalists will share insight and stories about these fascinating creatures. Visitors will leave with knowledge on how we can best coexist with these animals and do our part to help them survive. Plus, guests will even see some of these amazing birds fly! This show is perfect for people of all ages.
