5 Things To Do in St. Louis This Weekend | May 31 – June 2
Here are the five things you won’t want to miss this weekend in St. Louis including the Blues face the Bruins, Shakespeare in the Park returns, and more.
St. Louis Blues vs. Boston Bruins | June 1
For the first time in 49 years, our very own St. Louis Blues are playing for the Stanley Cup. This Saturday, St. Louisans can watch the Blues (hopefully) defeat the Boston Bruins and later lead us to our first-ever Stanley Cup win.
Love’s Labors’ Lost | May 31 – June 23
Shakespeare in the Park is back for the summer in Forest Park, with a performance of Love’s Labour’s Lost, one of Shakespeare’s most dazzling and delightful comedies. Attendees can pack a blanket and sit on the lawn for free or pay a few bucks for seating.
SLAM Underground | May 31
Join the Saint Louis Art Museum this Friday from 7 to 10 pm for art making, music, unique gallery games, and a cash bar. This month’s theme is dedicated towards the makers, creators, amateurs, and self-taught artists.
Tig Notaro | June 1
Comedian Tig Notaro is coming to The Pageant on Saturday, June 1st. Notaro, recently named “one of the 50 best stand-up comics of all time” by Rolling Stone, will be offering a show for all ages.
The Pigeon Comes to St. Louis! Exhbiit | May 31 – September 8
Visit the whimsical world of Mo Willems and his cast of lovable characters, including best friend duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful companion Knuffle Bunny and The Pigeon, the wily city bird best known for his antics in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus at the Magic House Saint Louis newest exhibit. Here, simple stories inspire hours of play and reveal the rich emotional lives of Mo’s characters. The challenges of growing up, like learning to make yourself understood or figuring out what it means to be a good friend, are gentle themes throughout. Along the way, children get to make their own art, surprises abound and every exploration ends in fits of laughter!
