5 Things To Do This Weekend in St. Louis 1/12 – 1/14

Happy Friday! It’s time for another fun-filled weekend in St. Louis. If you are pulling your plans together for the weekend, here are 5 things to do this weekend to help plan.
The Loop Ice Carnival | January 13 – 14
Celebrate the winter season at the Loop Ice Carnival in University City. This family friendly event heats up with dozens of great activities including entertainment, ice slides, zip lin, ice carving demonstrations, play ice putt putt golf and more.
Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge | January 13 – 14
Eagle lovers of all ages are invited to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge to watch eagles fishing, riding the ice floes, soaring overhead or roosting in nearby trees. Visitors are welcome to view eagles through spotting scopes staffed by trained volunteers.
Kinky Boots | January 13 – 14
Kinky Boots is Broadway’s huge-hearted, high-heeled hit! With songs by Grammy and Tony winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical celebration is about the friendships we discover, and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind. Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan.
Thomas Struth: Nature & Politics | Through January 21
Erase absolutely any preconceived notion you have based on that title. Traveling from the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany, this exhibit of Struth’s stunning, large-scale photographs mixes images of robotics labs, nuclear fusion centers, and aeronautical research laboratories with shots of aquariums, theme parks, and the battle-ravaged landscapes of the Left Bank. Shot over the past decade on pretty much every continent, the German photographer seeks to interrogate how we interact and live in increasingly manufactured environments, and the tension it creates in us as we ponder what’s real—and what’s surreal.
STL Motorcycle Show | January 13 – 14
The St. Louis area’s largest annual gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts, with live entertainment from high-flying stuntman Tim Dyson FMX.
