OVO by Cirque de Soleil | August 3 – 7
Come witness OVO by Cirque de Soleil at Chaifetz Arena as it follows the journey of how an ecosystem teaming with curious and fantastic insects reacts to the presence of a mysterious egg that suddenly appears in their midst. Audiences will fall in love with this amazing story and marvel at the spectacular performers who bring this movement of life to light!
Art St. Louis: Serendipity | August 6 – September 15
If you’re looking for some truly inspired pieces of art, you don’t have to look far as Art Saint Louis presents a new exhibition entitled ‘Serendipity.’ The exhibit opens August 6 and features 44 artworks by 40 regional artists from Missouri and Illinois using a variety of styles, techniques and media including basketry, ceramics, drawing, mixed media, paintings, pastel, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, woodworking, and more!
North by Old North | August 6
Come out and enjoy a free music and art festival with performances from a variety of artists, including The Domino Effect, Delta Sol Revival, as well as dance and theatre performances, workshops, live art, and more. This event is open to people of all ages and walks of life, so grab your friends and family and experience the rich history and culture that this festival has to offer.
Aida at The Muny | August 8
The Muny finishes its 2016 season with the powerhouse musical Aida, written by Elton John and Tim Rice. It’s The Muny’s first production of Aida in a decade and stars Michelle Williams in the title role. The Muny, Forest Park.
