5 Things To Do This Weekend in St. Louis | May 18 – 20
Happy Friday! Here are the five things you won’t want to miss this weekend in St. Louis including Taste of Maplewood, The Muny 100th Birthday Bash, Eckert’s Strawberry Festival and more.
The Muny 100th Birthday Bash | May 20
Celebrate 100 years of Muny magic during its Centennial Birthday Bash from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 20. This free musical-themed street fair features nearly 20 food trucks, local craft beer, a Ferris wheel, live music, a petting zoo, backstage tours, reunion group photos and an abundance of selfie opportunities. Use the hashtag #Muny100 during the event to be featured in a photo mosaic of the theater’s logo.
Taste of Maplewood Street Festival | May 19
The festival is a culmination of Maplewood and Richmond Heights’ most renowned restaurants, beloved boutiques, and unique specialty stores. In its 10th year the event’s vibe is distinct and unmistakable, radiating the culture and character of the businesses in the area. In addition to the food and libations, visitors will enjoy live entertainment on two stages, and much more!
7th Annual Lupulin Carnival | May 19
The 7th Annual Lupulin Carnival, will be the biggest party of the year where 4 Hands Brewery celebrates the hop! Lupulin Carnival is a beer festival thrown by 4 Hands Brewing Co. in which they gather a handful of their favorite breweries in one spot. This is a unique beer sampling event happening amongst a variety of carnival acts. Beyond carnival entertainment and the opportunity to try some breweries we don’t typically get in the STL there will be live music, DJs, food trucks, games, ferris wheel rides AND a Super Slide!
Annie Malone May Day Parade | May 20
This St. Louis tradition began over a century ago in the historic African-American Greater Ville Neighborhood when thousands of St. Louisans would gather to honor Annie Malone, the founder of Poro College and the noted children’s home that carries her name. The Annie Malone May Day Parade takes place on every year in May and it is our biggest fundraiser, giving our kids and community sponsors their opportunity to shine!
Eckerts Strawberry Festival | May 19 – 20
This is the weekend to share with family and friends. And what better place to share it than the Eckert’s family farm in Belleville, IL! Enjoy outdoor festival foods and live entertainment at this old-fashioned all-American festival. Kid’s activities include pony rides, children’s play area, petting farm, carnival rides, and inflatable.
