Happy Friday! Here are the five things you won’t want to miss this weekend in St. Louis including Q in the Lou, Bookfest St. Louis, Ride the Rivers Century and more!

Q in the Lou | September 21 – 22

If BBQ is what you crave, you’ve got to check out Q in the Lou in downtown St. Louis at Kiener Plaza. You can also learn from the Pitmasters on Pit Row while eating a slow smoked rack of ribs or a seared steak.

Bookfest St. Louis | September 22

Book lovers of all ages can celebrate St. Louis’ literary heritage at BookFest St. Louis, presented Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, by the Central West End, Left Bank Books and the Left Bank Books Foundation. Festival-goers will be able to enjoy panels highlighting the best of contemporary literary fiction, poetry, memoir, science fiction, young adult fiction, mystery and history, as well as participate in family-friendly activities including book sales, literary crafts, live music and more within the McPherson/Euclid festival zone. All BookFest St. Louis activities are free and open to the public.

Ciderfest 2018 | September 22 – 23

Black River Cider Co is celebrating the harvest season with their first annual Ciderfest! Festival goers will enjoy a release of a brand new cider, tours, and collaborations with Civil Life and Vincent Van Doughnuts.  They’ll have live music from great local bands, an international cider tasting, cider and cheese pairings, and so much more! This is a free to attend event and all ages are welcome!

Ride the Rivers Century | September 22

Trailnet’s classic 100 mile ride now in it’s 14th year is the only century ride in North America (or possibly the world) with two ferry crossings. There is also a metric century that includes a third ferry crossing. You’ll receive your choice of commemorative socks or a patch plus a delicious, customized lunch. The route features five rest stops–each with their own unique snacks. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet some of the coolest people around and see some of the area’s most beautiful scenery! And don’t forget the victory party held after the ride with free beer and lots of food for purchase.

Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream | September 21 – 23

In her Disney On Ice debut, see how far Moana goes on a quest with demigod Maui to save her island and find her own identity. Anna’s devotion to her sister Elsa sets her on a journey to stop an eternal winter. Rapunzel goes to great lengths to realize her dream. Fearless Belle befriends the enchanted castle staff and uncovers the Beast’s gentleness. With help from her friends, Cinderella is determined to make her wish come true.
