Hamlet: See What I See | Through November 18
The Immersive Theatre Project at The Barnett on Washington, 3207 Washington, founded by local actor and producer Kelly Hummert, presents the first in a planned series of theater experiences that plunge the audience right into the middle of the action. For Hamlet, audiences will be at the center of the court intrigue at Elsinore, interacting directly with Hamlet Prince of Denmark, Ophelia, and a very different take on King Hamlet’s ghost. Great Pumpkin Festival | November 12
What better way to celebrate the harvest full moon than with Schlafly beer, a pig roast, live music and fall themed activities?
Come howl at the moon with us at Schlafly Bottleworks and fill up on all your favorite styles like Pumpkin Ale, Hard Apple Cider, Coffee Stout & more. Come hungry, because we will be roasting 6 hogs throughout the night! Expect food collaborations, a bonfire and other fall festivities. Free and open to the public.
International Photography Hall of Fame Exhibit | Through February 2017
Eight photographers or photography industry visionaries that embody the spirit, artistry and innovation of modern photography have been selected for induction. Stop by IPHF to observe work from each inductee while learning more about how they influenced and are still influencing photography. Hall of Fame Inductees include: Ken Burns, documentary filmmaker; Ernst Haas, 20th century professional photographer; Steve Jobs, former Apple Inc. Chairman and CEO and technology pioneer; John Knoll, co-creator of Adobe Photoshop; Thomas Knoll, co-creator of Adobe Photoshop; Annie Leibovitz, portrait photographer; Graham Nash, creator of fine art digital printing, photographer and musician; Sebastião Salgado, documentary photographer and photojournalist.
Howlin’ Fridays Concert Series: Big George Brock | November 11
The National Blues Museum is featuring live music every Friday night in November with the “Howlin’ Fridays” concert series in the Lumière Place Legends Room. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Big George Brock will perform at 7 p.m. Tickets may only be purchased at the National Blues Museum Box Office
4th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony | November 12
Start the holiday season with a free, magical family experience as they light the giant holiday tree at Taubman Prestige Outlets’ 4th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Enjoy holiday performances, photos with Santa, hot cocoa and cookies, live ice carving demonstrations and more.
