Shake 38 | April 19 – 23
You’re invited to participate in a marathon of Shakepeare’s 38 plays. Tinder, Zumba and improv will all play central roles in this year’s line-up of events scheduled at various venues in St. Louis. Amateurs and professionals will read or perform the Bard’s entire canon in creative settings, translating Shakespeare’s works into their own modern interpretations.
Food Truck Feast | April 23
4 Hands annual food truck event is back. Enjoy live music from The Wilderness & Vandeventer, playing bags, enjoying some of the best food trucks in STL and drinking 4 Hands beer. This family-friendly event will feature My Big Fat Greek Truck, Smoke N Motion, Fioia’s Deli, STL BLT and so much more.
Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival 2016 | April 22 – 23
The Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival will feature John Pizzarelli and the M.F. All Star Big Band will celebrate the music of Manynard Ferguson at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. The opening act will be the UMSL Jazz Ensemble directed by Jim Widner.
Chris D’Elia | April 23
Chris D’Elia is quickly becoming one of the most sought after young comedians and actors in the comedy world. Recently named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch,” D’Elia can be seen on NBC’s multi-camera comedy “Whitney” opposite Whitney Cummings. D’Elia quickly became a regular at the Hollywood Comedy Clubs where he performs multiple times a week. Best known for his physical humor, he is now crisscrossing the country performing his stand-up act and will release a one hour stand-up special for Comedy Central in the fall. He has also appeared on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” as well as on “Comedy Central Presents.”
