5 Things To Do This Weekend in St. Louis 5/20 – 5/22
Happy Friday! It’s time for a fun-filled weekend in St. Louis. If you are still pulling your plans together, here are a few suggestions to help make this a memorable weekend.
Chinese Culture Days | May 20 – 21
Experience a cultural weekend full of events from a grand parade including a 70-foot dragon to lion dancers and more. Guests can also enjoy authentic teas, regional cuisine, Chinese art, live music and more taking place center stage in the Chinese garden. A collaborative effort between the Missouri Botanical Garden and the Chinese Culture Education and Services Foundation, Chinese Culture Days has been a favorite annual event since 1996.
Taste of Maplewood Street Festival | May 21
The Taste of Maplewood Festival brings together foodies, shoppers, and music lovers to enjoy the bites, sights, and sounds of a city known for everything hip and happening. Visitors will enjoy live entertainment on two stages, including performances by the Jeremiah Johnson Band, PowerPlay, and more to be announced soon. “The Best of the Taste of Maplewood” food and drink contest, a feature added in recent years, promises to be spicier than ever.
Indihop 2016 | May 21
Enjoy performances by live musicians, artists, and street performers while you bring your IndiHop tasting glass from venue to venue, sampling up to 50 of St. Louis’s independently brewed beers. A shuttle will also be available to take you between participating businesses on Cherokee Street and in the Grove.
Jim Brickman | May 22
Since the release of his debut album in 1994, Jim Brickman’s romantic piano sound has made him the best-selling solo piano artist of our time and one of contemporary music’s most popular stars. Hear Brickman’s signature style in concert with the STL Symphony performing chart-topping hits from his multi-platinum recordings.
Jersey Boys | May 20 – 22
More than 180,000 theatergoers have cheered JERSEY BOYS in its three previous engagements at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Revealing the rags-to-riches story of oldies pop group The Four Seasons, “Jersey Boys” is full of energy, big choreography and, of course, great musical numbers like “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll” and “Oh What a Night.”
