8 Events Happening in St. Louis this July
Happy July! From summer festivals to entertainment and family activities, St. Louis has something for everyone to enjoy. The following events are only a preview of what you’ll find in St. Louis this July.
Bring It Live Tour | July 7
Mss D and her Dancing Dolls, the stars of Lifetime’s hit series “Bring It!,” will perform live at Peabody Opera House. The “Bring It! Live” will give fans the chance to become part of the action as they see Miss D and her Dancing Dolls perform their never-before-seen routines live onstage. Audience members will take part in live voting, engage in Q+A with the cast, and get the exclusive “behind the scenes” lowdown on the hit Lifetime series.
Movies on Art Hill are back! Every Friday in July catch a flick under the stars. Come early to grab a bite from one of St. Louis’s many food trucks! The food trucks and music start at 6 pm. Films begin promptly at 9 pm. Guests are welcome to arrive any time to claim their spot on Art Hill.

Let Them Eat Art | July 8
Discover the French heritage of Saint Louis at Let Them Eat Art in historic downtown Maplewood on July 8. This whimsical fair celebrates Bastille Day and presents a variety of festivities for visitors, including art exhibits, live demonstrations, live music, tasty food and drink specials, hoop dancers, dream interpreters, tarot card readings and more.
Grow Exhibit, St. Louis Science Center | Ongoing
The Saint Louis Science Center is bringing your family a new interactive outdoor attraction called GROW. Opened on June 18, this 50,000 square feet state-of-the-art exhibit explores the journey of food from farm to fork by taking a look at the science behind how we grow, harvest, process and deliver our food. It is the only permanent exhibit of this size in the country solely focused solely on teaching the importance of agriculture and our food supply.
Coldplay | July 21
The hugely successful A Head Full Of Dreams tour, produced by Live Nation, comes to St. Louis’ Scottrade Center on July 21. Acclaimed singer/songwriter, Alessia Cara, will join the tour as a special guest on all dates and Foxes will open the show.
Young Frankenstein at The Muny | July 13 – 19
The gang’s all here: Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, Igor and the horse-frightening Frau Blücher – together again in scenic Transylvania to reanimate a monster. Only the deranged mind of Mel Brooks could have inspired such lunacy. As Mel’s 1974 movie comedy classic comes to bawdy, musical life onstage, you too will feel like “Puttin’ on the Ritz” as you revel in a madcap evening of mad scientists, yodeling lab assistants … everything you need for one hilarious Muny night!
Route 66 Exhibit | Thru July 16
The story of “Main Street of America” or the “Mother Road” comes to life at the Missouri History Museum on June 25 with the opening of their latest exhibit, Route 66: Main Street Through St. Louis. You’ll learn about the important role this famous road not only made in St. Louis, but around the world with artifacts ranging from gas pumps to roadside signs and visitors will even get a chance to drive the road themselves with an interactive display!
St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase | July 17 – 21
Cinema St. Louis presents its annual film festival showcasing local filmmakers. Films range from full length fiction, to short documentaries to multi-film compilations. All featured films were either written, produced, edited or directed by St. Louis natives. Many of the full length features are followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.
