Big Muddy Blues Festival | August 31
Held at Laclede’s Landing every Labor Day weekend, this festival attracts performers and blues fans from around the region. The 24th Annual Big Muddy Blues Festival local musicians from around the region to perform for FREE on the Laclede’s Landing. This years festival includes Marquise Knox, Jeremiah Johnson, David Dee, Big George Brock, and more will all be performing.
Blues at the Arch | August 30
Friday, August 30 the Gateway Arch will be filled with the sounds of music as Blues at The Arch takes center stage. Taking the stage that night for the concert series grand finale will be St. Louis’ own Marquise Knox and Taz Niederauer.
St. Nicholas Greek Festival | August 30 – September 2
Gyros, moussaka, spanakopita, baklava. . . there’s no better way to spend Labor Day weekend than at the St. Louis Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in the Central West End neighborhood. The annual festival features live entertainment. delicious food and drink, and free tours of the beautiful church.
Japanese Festival | August 31 – September 2
Join the Missouri Botanical Garden in celebrating the culture and traditions of Japan when the annual Japanese Festival returns to St. Louis! From traditional music to martial arts, sumo to sushi, bon odori dancing to bonsai displays and thunderous taiko drumming to Tea House Island tours, the three-day Labor Day weekend is filled with sights, sounds and experiences for the entire family.
The Gateway Cup | August 30 – September 2
Take in four days of bicycle racing in four of the city’s amazing urban neighborhoods, the 35th edition of the Gateway Cup includes the Tour de Lafayette, the Tour de Francis Park, the Giro della Montagna and the Benton Park Classic.
Fall Art Fair at Queeny Park | August 30 – September 1
Queeny Park hosts its fall art fair over Labor Day weekend at the Greensfelder Recreation Complex. The annual art fair features more than 130 artists from 20 states showing works in various media including painting, sculpture and jewelry making. In addition the art fair includes children’s activities and wine tastings.

Catch the Cardinals all weekend long
Round out summer with a holiday weekend at the ballpark as the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants. In case you needed a few reasons to get to Busch Stadium this weekends game will feature a 2004 National League Champions Beer Stein giveaway and Military Appreciation Night on Friday August 30, Star Wars Day on Saturday, August 31st, and a Yadier Molina Funko POP! giveaway on Monday, September 2. Row on the Mississippi
Take advantage of the summer days and head out on an STL Riverfront Adventure with Big Muddy Adventures. For the STL Riverfront Adventure, make your way down to the cobblestones Arch parking lot where you will be taken nine miles up the Mississippi where you will jump into big 30-foot voyageur canoes ready to set off on the great Mississippi. Trips include stop for snakes on a pristine wild river island, as well as paddling under six bridges in the approach back to downtown St. Louis.
