Celebrate Juneteenth with the Gateway Festival Orchestra's "A Juneteenth Concert" on June 18, 7:30 PM, at Ritenour High School Auditorium, 9100 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, MO.

This vibrant evening is dedicated to showcasing the amazing talents of local Black composers and their fresh perspectives on orchestral music.

Experience the premiere of Rhythms of the City, composed by Jacobi Edwards. This unique piece blends R&B melodies with modern trap music, allowing you to feel the energy as it transforms traditional orchestral sounds into contemporary grooves. Additionally, don’t miss the special performance of Black Coffee, a new composition by Blake Hernton that showcases his innovative approach to opera and captures the spirit of community and celebration.

Conductor TJ Abernathy will lead this dynamic presentation, bringing his vision and passion for music to life.
