No matter your age, interests or budget, you’ll find something fun to do in St. Louis this weekend.
Dreaming in Colour, formed in 1989 by bassist Kevin Ellis, started out as a groove/melody instrumental group covering the extensive GRP label artists in the day and select pop covers.. Chris Noonan joined on drums in 1991 and the Ellis/Noonan combination has propelled the band for over 30 years. Once the band added original music it caught the ear of industry folks, including St Louis drummer Dave Weckl, who recommended the band to contemporary jazz great Jeff Lorber in 2011. Lorber took the band under his production wing for the first full record, including Eric Marienthal and Nelson Rangell on saxes. Lorber plays on all the tunes and co-wrote four songs . Since then Ellis and Noonan have taken production and writing control of the group, resulting in 4 top 25 chart spots with multiple others in the top 100. Over 1 million Spotify streams of Panacea, and other songs resulting in a solid global audience. Their music is available on all streaming platforms.
