No matter your age, interests or budget, you’ll find something fun to do in St. Louis this weekend.
"Innocence Betrayed" is the new grand opera for which Jeff Stewart and his wife, Ele, who are native St. Louisans, wrote the libretto and Dr. Joseph Rivers composed the score. Selected scenes from this new work will be performed in the first part of a program presented by Windsor Theatre Group, in conjunction with Jeff and Ele Stewart and with support from the Regional Arts Commission of St .Louis. These scenes are being showcased to encourage opera companies across the country to consider producing this opera with its beautiful and interesting music.
The second part of the program will present various operetta favorites composed by Victor Herbert. The show acknowledges the 100th anniversary of Herbert’s death in 1924.
Professional singers and dancers will perform this family-friendly show of exciting music.
Ticket prices are very reasonable: $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors, $10 per individual for groups of 6 or more, and $5 for children under 14 (cash or check only). .
Windsor Theatre Group has been producing shows since 1986, and audiences have enjoyed its productions in south St. Louis, Kirkwood, north St. Louis County, west St. Louis County, at the Playhouse at Westport, in the Crestwood ArtSpace, at the historic Ozark Theatre in Webster Groves, and in Lemay.
