December 30, 10:00 am TO 4:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
| Field House Museum | $5 – $10

Did you know that Missouri is home to several influential writers? Join the Eugene Field Library through January 8, 2022, as we showcase some of the authors who have called the “Show-Me” state home. Nowhere else will you find the first person to have a daily personal column, Eugene Field, next to the first science fiction writer to appear in the New York Times, Robert Heinlein. From the first African American novelist, William Wells Brown, to the longest serving female war correspondent, Martha Gellhorn, learn of the many firsts and great achievements to come from the state of Missouri. See and be inspired by many creative minds in Missouri Writers: 200 Years of Talent. As part of the exhibit, the Library is highlighting the many local authors that have been part of our ongoing Speaker Series.
