Two bells ringing a perfect fifth, opens Allegro Chorus’ 2025 Holiday concert, Songs of the Season. In unison, Allegro’s soprano and alto sections echo that perfect fifth, gradually swelling their voices to a full chord that floats, as if suspended in the beautiful sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood. This ethereal opening sets the stage for the dynamic and rhythmic number, “Ring Out, Ye Bells” arranged by Dan Forrest, sung by Allegro’s 120-voice choir and accompanied by First Presbyterian Church’s 3-Octave handbell choir.

Songs of the Season celebrates Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and the coming of the winter season. Audience members will delight in familiar carols and be moved by the beauty of music that celebrates the true meaning of the coming season.
