St. Louis Blues, a One-Day Blues Fest

This program is presented in collaboration with the National Blues Museum.


Don’t miss this one-day festival dedicated to blues music! We’ll explore the genre from its African roots to its contemporary expressions through live musical performances, activities for all ages, and the St. Louis Sound exhibit. You’ll learn about what gives blues music its unique sound, see the stories of historic local blues musician in the St. Louis Sound, and even get hands on with an “instrument petting zoo.” Vince Martin will perform a family friendly set from 1:00 to 1:45pm, and pianist Ethan Leinwand will perform and share stories about the history of blues piano with a focus on the role of St. Louis within the genre from 2:15 to 3:45pm.
