The Legends Singers Choral Ensemble Concert

Join us for a celebration of African-American Music Reception Following the Concert

  • African-American Spirituals
  • Sacred Music & Jazz Hits of Duke Ellington

 

The iconic Legend Singers, founded by Dr. Kenneth Billups of Sumner High School in 1940 will be performing at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 15764 Clayton Road, Ellisville on Sunday, October 13th, at 3pm with reception following. The program will include African-American spirituals, and music from Porgy& Bess and jazz hits of Duke Ellington.

Dwayne Buggs, a renowned local educator, choral director and award winner is the new Director of the choral group.

The concert is free, sponsored by the St. Martin’s Social Justice Committee, however tickets are required through eventbrite.
