The Ohio Players gained notoriety in 1973 with their first #1 Billboard R&B hit, “Funky Worm,” and songs like “Fire,” “Love Rollercoaster” and “Skin Tight” propelled them into the stardom. One of the most popular funk bands of all time, the Ohio players were inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame in 2013, and their songs and sound can still be heard in TV commercials and soundtracks.
