Your Guide to LouFest 2017

LouFest 2017 is back for its eighth year with a two-day lineup featuring Weezer, Snoop Dogg, Cage the Elephant, Run the Jewels, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Spoon, Huey Lewis & the News and more across four stages in Forest Park. With an art market, the LouKidz stage, photogenic spaces, the best bites in town from local restaurants and vendors and a wide variety of merch to bring home, there’s plenty to do for the entire family.

Before you head to the Festival in Forest Park, learn everything you need to know about the year’s music event.

Tickets:

General Admission tickets for a two day pass are $95 and one day passes for Saturday or Sunday are $60. LouFest 2017 will open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. each day rain or shine.  This is a festival for all ages, and kids ages 12 and under are free with ticket-holding adult.

LouFest U:

An event dedicated to St. Louis-area university students will kick-off the festival on Friday, September 8. In partnership with the St. Louis Regional Chamber, LouFest U will include performances from local and national bands, guest speakers, and opportunities for young minds to engage with regional employers and entrepreneurial organizations.

Hail! Hail! Chuck Berry!:

A celebration honoring the father of Rock N’ Roll will take the Bud Light Stage on Saturday night before Snoop Dogg closes the first full day of the festival. The celebration will feature several artists of local and national fame. Special guest include Captain Kirk Douglas (The Roots), Rashawn Ross (Dave Matthews Band), Britt Daniel (Spoon), Matt Shultz and Nick Bockrath (Cage the Elephant), Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce), Pokey Lafarge, Valerie June, Cory Henry, Jonny P and more.

Transportation

LouFest 2017 will be held on the Upper Muny Grounds and Festival Plaza, near The Muny Amphitheatre in Forest Park. If you’re driving, there is street parking throughout park and parking garages are located just to the east in the Central West End neighborhood. ADA Parking is available at the corner of Wells & Macklind Dr. Should you choose to ride the metro The Forest Park-Debalivere MetroLink Station. Then jump on the Forest Park Trolley that drops off right outside the festival. The trolley will have extended hours during Loufest weekend. The Central West End MetroLink Station is a quick walk or bike ride to the LouFest Entrance. If you choose to ride your bike, there is bike parking right outside of the front gate.

Food

Far from Turkey Legs and Funnel Cakes, the LouFest Nosh Pit presented by Feast Magazine is an experience all its own! Each year the best of the best restaurants are selcted from around the area.  This year’s food line up includes: Aya Sofia, Pi Pizza, Evangeline’s, Vicia, Hi Pointe Drive in, Sugarfire, Wheelhouse, Kaldi’s Coffee, Piccione Pastry, Mission Taco Joint, Strange Donuts, Narwhal’s Crafted Urban Ice and more.
