IKEA Moves to St. Louis Sept. 30

Shoppers in the St. Louis region won’t have to wait much longer, as IKEA’s newest store is set to open on Sept. 30 at 9 a.m.  Located at I-64 and Vandeventer, anyone driving past will not miss the massive 380,000 square feet store offering high-quality and affordable home furnishings and a unique shopping experience.  This family-friendly mega store will employ about 300 people and is sure to be a must-see stop for visitors to St. Louis!

In celebration of the store’s Grand Opening, representatives from IKEA will be at several upcoming community events with fun activities, prize giveaways and much more. IKEA be at St. Louis Art Fair on Sept 11- 13, Great Forest Park Balloon Race on Sept 18-19, Family Movie Night at Skyview Drive-In in Belleville, IL on Sept. 25-26 and Ballpark Village on Sept. 27.

As the anticipation for the opening builds, crowds are expected to line up two days before the store opens on Wednesday. IKEA St. Louis will be the only new store that the Swedish retailer opens in the U.S. this year.
