What the Locals Know: Soulard is rich with live music, but it’s not just a nighttime thing. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons many joints open their patios and feature local duos and trios for you to enjoy while you catch up with friends and sip a fruity cocktail or a local craft beer. Hammerstone’s is just one of the many for you to check out – currently they host a jam session with VooDoo Blues band every Sunday afternoon at 4.
Music Note of Note: 50 years ago one of pop music’s greatest couples, Billy Davis Jr. And Marilyn McCoo, were married right here in St. Louis, Billy’s hometown. Both were members of the 5th Dimension, and then had some big hits as a duet. Happy anniversary!
