The St. Louis African Arts Festival features the African Marketplace, children’s activities, performing arts stage, food court, vendors, arts & crafts, cultural demonstrations, teen safari hunt, health and wellness village and more at Forest Park World’s Fair Pavilion.
St. Louis County Greek Festival | May 24-27
You’ll love this festival whether you’re Greek or just love Greek food. Enjoy the lively traditions of music, dancing and heritage. Be sure to visit the kids’ corner and take the church tour. The festival runs from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Monday at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Spring to Dance | May 23-25
The 12th Annual Emerson Spring to Dance returns to the Touhill Performing Arts Center for two nights of nonstop dance. Spring to Dance brings together more than 25 professional dance companies from across the country and beyond. From ballet, modern and contemporary to flamenco, hip-hop and more, the vibrant festival offers something for everyone with a distinct, dynamic program each night.

Live From Here with Chris Thile | May 25
Come be apart of a live radio being made at Powell Hall! Live from Here with Chris Thile is a Saturday night destination for radio audiences everywhere. This variety show features a unique blend of musical performances, comedy, and audience interaction. Acclaimed musician and songwriter Chris Thile welcomes the Grammy Award-winning St. Louis Symphony on the show.

Eckert’s Memorial Day Festival | May 25-26
Eckert’s Orchards in Belleville celebrates Memorial Day with a three-day festival complete with live music and food. There is plenty of fun to be had for the kids at this event, including pony rides, a petting farm, carnival rides and inflatables.

Summer Zoo Weekends | May 24
Memorial Day means the start of extended weekend hours at the St. Louis Zoo, as well as the kickoff of the Jungle Boogie Friday Night Concert Series.
Featuring a very wide range of music genres, including rock, disco, soul, and even a Beatles’ cover band, this concert series runs all summer long and is free for guests of the zoo.
Alton Memorial Day Parade | May 27
Just 40 minutes from Downtown St. Louis, the Memorial Day Parade in Alton, Illinois, is definitely worth the trip. Celebrate Memorial Day by experiencing the oldest consecutive running parade in the entire nation. This year marks the 152nd anniversary of the parade. The first one was held in 1868, just three years after the end of the Civil War. More than 50 participants will take part in the parade. Honor the history of Pie Town, Upper Alton and those that served our country. Bring your lawn chairs and line the streets to show your support and join in on the fun. The parade begins at Alton Middle School, 2200 College Ave.

Gateway Memorial Classic | May 25-27
This soccer tournament will bring youth soccer teams from around the Midwest to the World Wide Technology Soccer Park, SLSG Creve Coeur Facility and Lou Fusz Soccer Complex.
