Explore St. Louis’ ‘In the Know’ Ad Campaign Receives Prestigious Award from Missouri Division of Tourism

ST. LOUIS – Last night, the Missouri Division of Tourism honored Explore St. Louis and H&L Partners’ internationally renowned ‘In the Know’ ad campaign with a Marketing Campaign Award during the Missouri Governor’s Conference on Tourism Annual Awards Banquet in Columbia, Mo.

The Marketing Campaign Award acknowledges achievement in effective, integrated marketing campaigns that led to increased visitation, expenditures and sales tax revenue through one or more channels such as electronic, broadcast, social media, print, direct mail and public relations.

“The success of the ‘In the Know’ campaign has been overwhelming and we couldn’t be more thrilled to receive such great recognition from the Governor and Missouri Division of Tourism,” said Brian Hall, CMO of Explore St. Louis.

The ‘In the Know’ campaign has generated more than $600 million in influenced visitor spending, has garnered over 24.4 million impressions and over 630,000 spot views on YouTube. In addition to the recognition it received last night, the campaign has won several industry awards including two Mid-America Emmy Awards and the HSMAI Adrian Awards Best in Show. To date, Emmy-award winning actor Sterling K. Brown, legendary performer John Goodman, TV Personality Andy Cohen, Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee and most recently, two-time World Cup Champion Becky Sauerbrunn, have been featured.

“The tourism industry in Missouri has a monumental impact in economic revenue across the state. These home-grown celebrities are friends of our region—the perfect ambassadors for highlighting all St. Louis and Missouri have to offer.
