LOUIS – This Saturday, August 27, at multiple times throughout the day, St. Louis will be featured in an episode of the Bally Sports Network television series Facing Waves. The series follows host and professional paddler Ken Whiting as he travels to the world's greatest waterways. The St. Louis episode was conceived in partnership with Explore St. Louis to bring attention to the region and its rich tourism assets, especially the opportunity to connect with our iconic rivers. Bally Sports Network is widely watched by sports lovers, and this episode provides great exposure for St. Louis as a destination for outdoor enthusiasts. In the show, Big Muddy Adventures leads Whiting on a challenging paddle up the Mississippi River to the base of the Gateway Arch. While in town, Whiting also experiences a riverboat cruise, a stop at St. Louis Union Station and a trip to the Aquarium, along with other St. Louis destinations. The episode wraps up at Castlewood State Park with a paddle on the Meramec River.
