Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in St. Louis 2022

There’s no shortage of ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in St. Louis. The 53rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade brings marching bands, floats, giant balloons. In addition, the Dogtown Irish Festival and Ancient Order of the Hibernians St. Patrick’s Day Parade offer 100-plus floats, a merchant village with Irish gifts, and plenty of food and drink vendors.

St. Patrick’s Day Events

53rd Annual St. Louis St. Patrick’s Day Parade – March 12

Regularly noted as one of the top in the country, the Downtown St. Louis St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off at 20th and Market street and concludes at Broadway and Clark.  The parade features over 120 units including marching bands, floats, huge balloons, 5000+ marchers and more. Over 250,000 spectators regularly attend, the largest of any event in downtown St. Louis, packing the streets with smiling Irish eyes and festive green attire.

St. Patrick’s Day Run – March 12

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run has welcomed over 5,000 runners on a 5-mile course through downtown St. Louis. Our commemorative t-shirt has been a classic for runners and walkers in our region as are the finisher’s medals.

Shamrocked St. Pat’s Parade After Party – March 12

Jig on down to Ballpark Village following the downtown St. Patrick’s Day parade to get sham-rocked at the after party.  Enjoy live entertainment, drink specials, souvenir cups, giveaways and more from 2-6pm.

Creve Coeur St. Paddy’s Half Marathon & 7k Run/Walk | March 12

We can’t find any historical record of St. Patrick himself training for a personal best before running the snakes out of Ireland, but no matter. The race is for a great cause—raising money for the St. Louis Regional Chapter of the ALS Association.

Cottleville Shamrock Run and Irish Fest | March 12

Join a 5K race along a gorgeous route past a park, stream, and lakes—and if you’re 21 or older, a frosty beverage awaits at the finish line. Fastest male, female, and wheelchair finishers get a coveted green fire helmet. Following the run, stick around town to celebrate with Cottleville’s Irish Fest including live music and specials at local restaurants.

Belleville’s St. Patrick’s Day Run, Parade & Block Party | March 12
Get your green on and celebrate all things Irish in Downtown Belleville! Attendees will enjoy Live Music, DJs, Food Trucks, Food Vendors, and a family friendly area all open following the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Parade!

Dogtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Festival – March 17

The St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Dogtown is held annually on March 17. In addition to the Ancient Order of Hibernians Parade, Dogtown United coordinates an Irish Festival to highlight the unique spirit and vibrant history of the Dogtown neighborhood.
