Hispanic FestivalGreater St. Louis Hispanic Festival – Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28
Turn up the heat with Hispanic Festival, Inc. for the Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival at the Soulard Market Park in the Historic Soulard Neighborhood. With a new location, Hispanic Folkloric dancers, more than 75 booths, and the Los Ninos Kids Corner makes this event the largest Hispanic celebration in the St. Louis area. The Cultural Village will offer a wide variety of foods and beverages from Latin and Soutah America, while you explore folk arts and crafts, and witness the crowning of Miss Hispanic Festival. Don’t miss the Low Rider Car Cruise.

St. Louis Scottish Games and Cultural Festival – Friday, September 26 – Saturday, September 27
The Scottish Games return to St. Louis’ Forest Park, September 26-27, 2014. This year will feature highland athletics, bagpipes, folk music, food, drink, crafts, goods, highland dancing, kids activities, sheepdog trials, sword fighting, birds of prey and much more. So gather your clan and join the festival in Forest Park on Friday evening for food, drink, the Torchlight Calling of the Clans, and a folk concert. And then come all day Saturday for all things Scottish.

The Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Championship returns to the St. Louis area with a high-energy competition, free to spectators. Each year, Nestle Purina PetCare challenges any dog to put their best paw forward in a series of events that measure agility, speed, endurance, skill and distance. The Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge not only attracts a variety of breeds from all over the country, sometimes globe, but opens up the events to the public free of charge, drawing sports and canine lovers alike.

St. Louis Folk and Roots Festival – Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28
Come listen to the musical mixes of folk, bluegrass and country at this weekend-long festival. Artists such as Sarah Jarosz, 23 String Band and Riley Baugus will be hitting the stage throughout the weekend.

AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals – Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28
AAA Insurance National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Midwest Nationals return to Gateway Motorsports Park this weekend for one of the most exhilarating, heart-pounding, ear-popping weekends in St. Louis. Admission includes pit pass and gives every fan direct access to their favorite racers, cars, teams and to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction on earth. Fans can stand within a few short feet of the crews as they crank up their cars, sending the smell of nitro fumes into the crowd. Bring a Sharpie for the readily available autographs and photo opps at every corner. On the Midway, manufacturers and sponsors create a carnival atmosphere, with interactive displays, simulated competitions, merchandise and take-away souvenirs.
