Direct from Broadway, The Fabulous Fox welcomes the Disney smash-hit “Newsies.” Based on true events, the musical tells the story of a group of underdogs who become unlikely heroes in the eye of those in New York.
Science on Tap | January 23
Have you always been curious about the science behind beer brewing and the bottling process? This Saturday get a total sensory experience at the Saint Louis Science Center, where there will be live music, science demonstrations and over 80 types of beer tastings. Price: $50 7-11pm
Maplewood Sweet Tooth Tour | January 23
Sample an array of sweet options. Participating purveyors include Pie Oh My!, Strange Donuts, Kakao Chocolate, and Schlafly Bottleworks. This self-guided tour allows you to visit each spot at your own pace while taking in the neighborhood. Price: $18. Noon–5 p.m.
Soulard Mardi Gras – Cajun Cook-Off | January 23
Sample more than 50 beverages from around the world while mingling with their makers. And don’t miss award-winning barbecue from Pappy’s, Salt + Smoke, and Sugarfire Smoke House. Price: $40–$65. 7–11 p.m. Soulard Market Park
Wolpertinger 2016 at Urban Chestnut | January 24
celebrate the brewery’s fifth birthday and sample Zwickel and their many crafty brews, including a very special anniversary beer named Wolpertinger 2016. With offerings from over 30 local breweries and live music from the Bolzen Beer Band, this promises to be a hopping party. Price: $35 in advance/$40 day 1-5pm

Soulard Mardi Gras – Wine, Beer & Whiskey Taste | January 22
Spend the evening meeting the makers of more than 50 beverages from Missouri and beyond. Ticket price includes samples of all wines, beers, and whiskeys. They have special lineup of beers on tap this year, featuring a variety of the best craft offerings from Goose Island (including Bourbon County Barleywine), the triumphant return of Faust (the original STL microbrew), and a brand new experimental batch from AB that is ONLY available at the Wine, Beer & Whiskey Taste! Price: $40 in advance; $50 at the door 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
