A Tribute to the Beatles: June 19
The Saint Louis Symphony presents “Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles” at Powell Hall on Friday, June 19, to honor the legendary Fab Four from Liverpool. You’ll be blown away as this show presents over 30 Beatles tunes like you’ve never heard them before, including such favorites as “All You Need is Love,” “Hey Jude,” “Twist and Shout” and much more.
14th Annual Green Homes Festival: June 20
Help your family live green! Celebrate sustainable living and explore ways to maintain a healthy planet. Bring your home improvement ideas and talk with green product and service exhibitors. Enjoy local foods and live music, and shop for handmade crafts in the Green Marketplace. Kids will enjoy solar car races, puppet shows and more! Help paint a Metro bus and explore the alternative vehicles on display.
St. Lou Fringe Festival: June 17-27
Now in its fourth year, St. Lou Fringe keeps on staging an energetic, surprising, and motley mix of performing arts over two weekends. Seriously motley: That list includes taiko drumming, jaw-harp orchestras, puppetry, improv, burlesque, and even an “episodic indie-pop musical.” Various prices and times at various venues throughout midtown;
RFT Music Showcase: June 20
The Riverfront Times’ Music Showcase is an all-day festival featuring 100+ local acts.. The annual celebration of St. Louis’ best and brightest musical talent will take place for in the eclectic Grove neighborhood, along Manchester Avenue between Kingshighway and Vandeventer, inside 10+ participating venues. A $10 wristband grants access to all participating venues and a free, all-ages outdoor stage will host music from 1 to 7 p.
Second Annual Vintage Bliss Market: June 20-21
Retro style rocks St. Louis with the region’s best vintage artisans and retro retailers in a one-of-a-kind shopping event. Customers can shop for vintage, antique, handmade and repurposed goods from a variety of vendors specially selected for the quality, style and charm of their items. The first 150 customers on Saturday will receive a free tote bag. Admission to the Vintage Bliss Market is free. Vendors will be selling everything from decorative items, home furnishings and fabrics to jewelry, clothing and art – all created with a vintage aesthetic. Beyond shopping, event activities include live music from Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers, Dawn Weber and Those Guys; prize giveaways; workshops; face painting and balloon art for the kids and food and drink from local purveyors and Westport Plaza’s restaurants.
