Happy Friday! It’s time for a fun-filled weekend in St. Louis. If you are still pulling your plans together, here are a few suggestions to help make this a memorable weekend.
Art Hill Film Series: Jaws: July 17
Come enjoy the outdoors, fantastic food, great live music, and some of your favorite movies at Saint Louis Art Museum’s third annual Outdoor Film Series showing the film, “Jaws.” The food trucks and music start at 6:00 pm. Films begin promptly at 9:00 pm. You are welcome to arrive any time to claim your spot on Art Hill.
Anything Goes: July 17 – August 16
Stages St. Louis presents Anything Goes. This classic musical comedy from Broadway’s golden age features such meltingly romantic Cole Porter melodies as “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “It’s Delovely,” “Easy To Love,” “You’re The Top,” and “Anything Goes.” Set sail on the S. S. American with a zany group of travelers, bound from New York to merry old England, where gangsters, socialites, and arrow-collar lads collide in a true tap-sensation from a by-gone era when travel was still fun and as unpredictable as the weather.
Music @ The Intersection: July 17
Grand Center comes alive with a neighborhood festival featuring a happy hour concert in Strauss Park from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with blues and jazz music continuing until 2:00 a.m. inside some of St. Louis’ hottest restaurants and venues including Ferring Jazz Bistro, the Kranzberg Arts Center, the Stage at KDHX, the Dark Room, Dooley’s Beef N Brew House, Lucha and Vito’s Sicilian Pizzeria & Ristorante. Venues will offer staggered performance times so people can hear a portion of virtually all the music. The event also includes street art, food specials, and local beer tents. Admission is free.
St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase: July 19 – 23
The St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase is the perfect spot catch works that were written, directed, edited or produced by St. Louis natives or films with strong local ties. The programs range from full-length fiction features and documentaries to multi-film compilations of fiction and documentary shorts.
Clayton Restaurant Week: Summer Edition: through July 19
Clayton Restaurant Week: Summer Edition features summer menus and patio dining to provide patrons with a flavor of summer dining scene in Clayton. This year’s CRW lineup includes 16 of Clayton’s fine dining establishments offering a special three-course dinner promotion for a fixed price of $25 per person, plus tax and tip.
