Garden Glow | through January 2
Sensory light tunnels, colorful explosions, decorated plants, gorgeous walkways and more make up the Garden Glow Holiday Light Exhibit, which promises to again amaze guests who visit the Missouri Botanical Gardens during the holiday season.
Downtown Kirkwood Winter Fireworks Festival | December 26
The weather might be cold but the winter sky will heat up with fireworks as Kirkwood holds its annual Winter Fireworks Festival on Dec. 26. The festival begins at 5 p.m., with fireworks at 6:30 over the Kirkwood City Hall.
Elf: The Musical | December 26 – 27
Based on the film starring Will Ferrell, “Elf the Musical” puts music to the story of Buddy, a human who grows up as an elf, heads to New York City and finds his family and love along the way.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra | December 27
Music and the holiday spirit come alive again during the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” a larger-than-life performance complete with symphonic-rock music, grandiose light displays and spectacular effects.
46th Annual Way of Lights | thru January 1
Wintertime sparkles at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows as the Annual Way of Lights Christmas display illuminates the grounds.
Winter Jewels: A Holiday Celebration | thru January 3
Go on a treasure hunt through the Animal Exhibit Hall, discover fairies in the Tropical Conservatory, and make new friends in the Gnome Forest. But be sure to guard your treasure and watch out for battling pirate cockroaches.
