Three Things Not to Miss During St. Louis Pride Festival June 29-30!
St. Louis is a great city for lesbian and gay travelers – if you need proof, make sure you visit during PrideFest – June 29-30! The festival growing strong since 1981, St. Louis’ Pridefest draws more than 80,000 supporters of the LGBT market from throughout the region. The festival includes a food court, kids and family area, dance pavilion, and a main stage featuring performances from local and national acts, but if you need to narrow it down, we picked three events during Pridefest to show you how diverse and creative the city’s LGBT community is.
The Parade: The exuberant celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 30 and marches the streets beginning at 8th and Market and continues down market to 18th and Market.
Comedy from Suzanne Westenhoefer is the first openly gay comedian ever to appear on television, she loves life and is all around hilarious! Find her at 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 29 on the Bud Light Stage in Soldiers Memorial. You can get a little sneak peak here.
Gateway Singing Chorus an award-winning chorus with more than 80 members, tons of enthusiasm, great energy, and has been performing for the St. Louis Metropolitan area since 1988.
