This Holiday Season, Shop Women-Owned Brands at Procure

A treasure trove of singular products, Procure by The Women’s Creative offers a new way to shop for the holidays.

At the brick-and-mortar location in the heart of City Foundry STL, every product is thoughtfully created with you and your loved ones in mind by small, women-owned brands. Here, you can feel good about spending your hard-earned money on gifts such as St. Louis paraphernalia, handcrafted jewelry, adorable onesies, tinted lip balm, wall art and yoga accessories.

“Women wear a lot of hats, and many of our brand partners have full-time jobs or are taking care of a disabled child or elderly relative,” Christina Weaver, owner of Procure, says. “By selling their products for them, they’re able to earn supplemental income while doing everything else they have to do in a day.”

The intriguing range of products that fill Procure are, above all, accessible. “We’ve created a comfortable place to shop, with products for all budgets,” Weaver explains. “At the end of the day, we want people to have fun during their visit. We want to delight them with unique products and connect them with interesting makers.”

“Relatively new to the store, Elyse Paints Things makes watercolor prints of iconic locations in St. Louis – think Busch Stadium, Art Hill and Ted Drewes – which would be a wonderful gift for anyone on your list.”

Embroidered Sweatshirts by Freedom and the Moon

“These embroidered sweatshirts are a best-selling line for Procure. They’re St. Louis-themed – one of my favorites is the Baseball Heaven crewneck – and they’re super comfy. We have people buy three, four, even five at a time – gifts for the whole family!”

Socks by Series Six

“Great gifts for guys, the socks by Series Six feature everything from St. Louis flags to fleurs-de-lis. At $12, they’re also a good price point.”

“Forai partners with local refugee and immigrant women [to realize their economic, educational and social goals through training, peer support and opportunities for artisans]. “We sell for Lux & Nyx, a local API-owned business, which specializes in luxury items. The origami belt bag is a crossbody bag that’s just gorgeous. It’s $75, but a comparable product from a large brand would be closer to $300.”

“We carry an entire line of consumables [from Bijoux chocolate to Forest & Meadow tea to Larder & Cupboard jam] but I’m particularly drawn to the honey from Millis Meadows. We have a sampler pack that features four types of local honey, and it’s a perfect professional gift.”

Candles by Sōl Hōm

“All our candlemakers are amazing, but Sōl Hōm stands out because its candles are hand-poured in these beautifully colored concrete vessels. They come in scents such as fresh linen, winter juniper and chamomile, and they make for a lovely gift.”
