Dress up and get your BOO on this Halloween season with some fun and tricky treat activities. From scary theme park rides and horrifying haunted houses, hayrides and mazes, this year’s October is looking even scarier. Dare to have some fun.
Halloween Magic | October 1 – 31
It’s Magic, Halloween Magic! And, The Magic House is celebrating all month long! Put on your Halloween costume and enjoy a SPOOK-tacular day at The Magic House! Decorate a mini pumpkin, make your way through a spiderweb maze, ride a trike through a Halloween-themed town and enjoy all your favorite exhibits- many with a Halloween twist!
Fright Fest at Six Flags St. Louis | Through October 31
Bone-chilling thrills and themed rides. Haunted attractions in the Slaughter House and Odd Ball’s Funhouse, as well as scare zones filled with zombies, clowns, vampires and more. The frights are calling you.
Booterfly House | October 1 – 31
Celebrate bugs, butterflies, and plants that are wonderfully wicked at during Booterfly house at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House! Meet new frightful friends in the Creepy Crawly Cave, watch out for Botanicals Gone Mad in the Conservatory, and spy on spectacular spiders with the Muffet Family.
Union Station Train or Treat | October 8 – 31
Enjoy a family friendly Haunted Maze with your favorite Halloween characters, grab a pumpkin from the Train Patch and take a walkthrough journey of our historic train cars with a surprise around every corner! Wear your costumes and take home a real pumpkin to decorate. Additional activities and games around the lake and daily Fire & Light shows add to the fun.
Fabulous Fox Ghost Tours | October 9 – 31
Fox Ghost tours are programmed with the assistance of the St. Louis Paranormal Research Society. Tours include both Fox Theatre history provided by Fox tour guides and “ghost” stories from the Paranormal Society following their investigation and analysis of the theatre’s “hot spots” of paranormal activity.
Adult Game Night: Halloween Edition | October 15
Let’s get spooky. Play games and challenge a stranger at the City Museum. Dance and participate in our costume contest for a mystery prize. Buy a spooky something at our Dark Market, featuring local vendors. It’ll also be the grand reopening of our Spider Web climber. Come chill out in the Spider’s web after tiring yourself out from all the City Museum adventuring. 21+ only/$25 per person.
Boo at the Zoo | October 15 – 31
Join this not-so-scary adventure: strolling entertainers, stage shows, non-gory-ous Halloween decorations, Dinoroarus selfies, and rides on the Zooline Railroad.
Trick or Track | October 16
Boos and ghouls, oh my! Let the kids get creative with those costumes before tracking around for treats at the National Museum of Transportation. The day of fun includes miniature train rides in the dark and Serengeti Steve & His Reptiles Show (an America’s Got Talent Finalist & Guinness World Record Holder). Reservations and tickets required. Free for museum members.
Fear the Farm | Fridays and Saturdays in October
Experience frightful-filled nights at St. Louis’ largest haunted attraction. Immerse yourself in the tales of Robert “Bob” Slaughter and spooky chemical spill during the thrilling hayride that covers more than 80 acres of Eureka Farm. Or, be a-mazed by Red’s Corn Maze Massacre, the only haunted corn maze in St. Louis and the largest outdoor haunted attraction.
Pumpkin Glow in Historic St. Charles | October 22
Deals, squeals and pumpkins, what more could you want? Take advantage of stores open late for some scary good deals, visit with the Legends & Lanterns characters for chillin’ ghost stories and haunting encounters and, of course, enjoy the hundreds of eerily glowing pumpkins illuminating the cobblestone streets.
Halloween Hayride at Faust Park | October 22 – 23
Hay there, let’s go for a ride! Join in the fun on a hayride through Faust Park. Afterwards, wander through the candlelit historic homes and listen to the Spooktacular storytellers. Or, just warm up by the campfire.
Family Movie Night: Ghostbusters | October 29
Join the City Museum on October 29 from 7-9pm for a special screening of Ghostbusters on the Rooftop. Bring your own comfy seating to make the viewing experience your own. Free with GA+ Roof.
Science Spooktacular | October 29 – 30
Have a scary good time. Experience an escape room, enjoy some family movies at the OMNIMAX theater, treat yourself to some spooky science shows and get hands-on with some Halloween activities at the Saint Louis Science Center.
Costumes and Candy at City Museum | October 30
Grab your best costume and stop in from 10am-5pm for candy at the slides! Keep an eye out for a special spooky performance on MonstroCity by the Webster High School Band. Free with General Admission.
Pumpkin Carving in the Parks | October 30
Superhero pumpkin? Why not? Join a park ranger for a fun afternoon of carving pumpkins at Suson Park. Pumpkins, carving tools and designs will be provided.
South Grand Halloween Art Walk | October 30
Ditch the broomstick and take a Grand stroll: 15 arts exhibits by local artists, costume contest, St. Louis World’s Fair Historic Exhibit, live music and more.
