Fair Saint LouisIndependence Day in St. Louis means parades, music, fireworks and fun. Here are several places to spend your 4th of July weekend 2015 in St. Louis.

Fourth of July Events

Fair Saint Louis
Fair Saint Louis has been a 4th of July tradition for more than three decades. The festivities are July 2, 3, and 4 at Art Hill in Forest Park.  Kids can enjoy games and crafts at the Family Festival Zone. There will be food to fit any taste bud and refreshing cold drinks.  The free concerts this year include, Chris Young, Melissa Etheridge, and Kool & The Gang are this years headliners.  Make sure you stick around after the concert as you don’t want to miss the fireworks display.

133rd Annual Veiled Prophet Parade
Every year, St. Louis celebrates Independence Day with Fair Saint Louis and the Veiled Prophet Parade. The VP Parade has been a tradition in the city for more than 130 years. The VP Parade has all of the things you’d expect to see. There are dozens of units in the parade, including marching bands, floats, balloons, clowns, military honor guards and more. It takes more than an hour for all of the participants to make their way down the parade route. Click here for parade route and additional information.

Webster Groves Community Days
One day just isn’t enough to celebrate Independence Day in Webster Groves. Community Days is a four-day celebration featuring a carnival, BBQ, parade and fireworks. It’s truly an old-fashioned event that draws visitors from around the St. Louis area. The festival’s held at Memorial Park, just south of Interstate 44 off the Elm Avenue exit.

St. Charles Riverfest
St. Charles has played an important role in American history and the town likes to show off its community pride at a celebration called Riverfest. This celebration is held each year along the banks of the Missouri River in Frontier Park in St. Charles, Missouri. Riverfest is a fun way to celebrate the 4th with carnival rides, a parade and fireworks.

Alton’s Fireworks Over the Mississippi
With the Clark Bridge as a backdrop over the Mississippi, this fireworks show is a crowd-pleaser! Alton’s Fireworks Over the Mississippi is held at Riverfront Park. There’s food, beer, live entertainment and a big fireworks display, set against the beautiful Clark Bridge.

Ferguson Fourth of July Festival: July 4
This all-day celebration features a parade, unique vendors, games and other fun activities. A fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. caps off the evening.

Hermann’s Fourth of July: July 4
Fourth of July in Hermann includes a parade, games, food and fireworks on the riverfront.

Kirkwood Community Freedom Festival and Fireworks: July 4
The City will hold its annual fireworks display on Saturday, July 4, 2015, in Kirkwood Park.  Music by Fanfare kicks off the festival at 7:00 p.m., and the fireworks go off at dusk.  Kirkwood Lions’ Club will be on hand, selling beer, ice cream, and soda, along with glow necklaces.  Tropical Moose will be open, and there will be several food trucks.

10th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at Chesterfield Mall: July 4
The 9th Annuul 4th of July Firework Celebration includes a free concert by Dogs of Society, an Elton John Tribute band on the Main Stage from 7:00 p.m.-9:15 p.m., food trucks and food vendors, a Kids’ Zone featuring clowns, a stilt walker, and inflatables for kids of all ages. The fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m.

JB Blast
JB Blast is a free celebration at Jefferson Barracks Park in South St. Louis County. There is live music by the STARLIFTER USAF BAND OF MID-AMERICA at the Veteran’s Memorial Amphitheater. The evening ends with a big fireworks display.

St. Louis Cardinals vs San Diego Padres
America’s favorite pastime over America’s birthday — no better match up! On July 2-5, the Cardinals take on the San Diego Padres.

Freedom 4 Miller & Family Fun Run
The Schnucks Freedom 4 Miler begins on July 4 at 7:00 a.m. and the one-mile Family Fun Run take place at 8:30 a.m. Event highlights include finisher medals and a costume contest.

Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest
Celebrate Independence Day weekend at Six Flags. Each day Six Flags will kick off with an exclusive ride time on some of Six Flags most popular rides. Anyone who presents an unopened Coca-Cola product, along with park admission or a Season Pass, will be able to ride select rides an hour before the park opens, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. At the Coca-Cola July 4 Zone, dance to patriotic music and participate in games to win prizes. For the best view of the nightly fireworks display, head to the plaza in front of BATMAN The Ride. All Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists will receive complimentary admission to the theme park with a valid U.S. military ID
