The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House is a must-see attraction in Chesterfield.

Don’t let the suburban setting of Chesterfield fool you – this residential area boasts world-class attractions, electrifying entertainment venues, first-class shopping and pretty public parks.

Incorporated in 1988, Chesterfield is located approximately 25 miles west of downtown St. Louis along Interstate 64. While you’re exploring the peaceful enclave, don’t miss The Awakening created by J. Seward Johnson, Jr. in 1980. The aluminum sculpture on the east side of Central Park Chesterfield depicts a 70-foot-tall giant clawing his way out of the ground. If it’s not too hot, you can sit in his hand, climb up his arm and slide down his leg.

Visiting in the fall? Chesterfield has stunning fall foliage, plus plenty of places to eat when hunger strikes.
