A Room Divided Exhibit (Dates Vary)
The exhibit depicts life in St. Louis inside and outside of slavery prior to the Civil War. With recreation hands-on pieces and a one-of-a-kind dollhouse from 1837, "A Room Divided" provides information on the unique situation that faced St. Louis prior to the Civil War: slave owners and anti-slavery sympathizes living side by side, a city that housed both slaves and free blacks; a modern city inside a slave state. The exhibition brings 45 years of authentic Star Trek artifacts to life, showcasing the largest collection of artifacts ever put on public display. One-of-a-kind costumes, props and filming models from every Star Trek television series and feature film will amaze and inspire Star Trek fans and novices alike. An impressive array of exhibits features sets, costumes and props from all five live-action Star Trek television series and eleven Star Trek feature films. Visitors will be able to step aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, explore Dr. Crusher's Sickbay from Star Trek: The Next Generation and sit in James T. Kirk's captain's chair. The Civil War in Missouri Exhibit at the Missouri History Museum
To commemorate the Civil War sesquicentennial and to explore the complexities of the Civil War in the twenty-fourth state the exhibit will feature compelling artifacts, imagery and interactive elements. Although the exhibition addresses issues with which our entire nation wrestled, topics that are distinctively Missourian will take center stage. Exhibition dates are subject to change. Six Flags St. Louis Open for the Season (Dates Vary)
Six Flags St. Louis features shows, rides, family attractions and a tropical paradise water park called Hurricane Harbor. Six Flags is open weekends only through May 20 with daily operation beginning May 21 - August 12. Weekend operation returns August 18 - October 28. Grant's Farm Open for the Season (Dates Vary)
Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. operates this showplace on land once farmed by Ulysses S. Grant. For opening day, April 14, visitors will have the rare opportunity to see the World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdale Eight-Horse Hitch parade through the Tier Garten and will also be allowed to take photos of the Clydesdales from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., rain date April 15. Some highlights of this family oriented attractions include a game preserve, train rides, Grant's cabin, and the famed Clydesdale stallion barn. This annual parade is one of St. Louis' most enduring family traditions. The parade themed "Around the World" begins at Washington Avenue and Fourth Street in downtown St. Louis, makes its way south on Fourth Street to Market Street, heads west on Market concluding at St. Louis Union Station at Market and 20th Streets. This Independence Day Celebration kicks off early in the morning July 4th with a competitive four-mile and a one-mile family fun run. Following the runs, the 135th annual Veiled Prophet Parade themed “Around the World” will step off at 10 a.m. in downtown St. Louis. At noon, the first of two air shows, including top civilian performers and military aircraft, will take place at Fair Saint Louis. The fair also features local and national entertainment, Kids Town and other activities July 4, 6 and 7 on the grounds of the Gateway Arch. Appearing on the Budweiser Main Stage under the Arch is Heart on Wednesday, July 4; Third Eye Blind on Friday, July 6; and Dierks Bentley on Saturday, July 7.
