A Room Divided Exhibit (Dates Vary)
The exhibit depicts life in St. Louis inside and outside of slavery prior to the Civil War. With recreation hands-on pieces and a one-of-a-kind dollhouse from 1837, "A Room Divided" provides information on the unique situation that faced St. Louis prior to the Civil War: slave owners and anti-slavery sympathizes living side by side, a city that housed both slaves and free blacks; a modern city inside a slave state. The film stars Storm Chasers host Sean Casey and the researches of VORTEX2, a fully nomadic team of scientists who follow and study severe weather throughout the Plains. Reflections of the Buddha Exhibition
The exhibit is the first loan exhibition of Pas-Asian Buddhist art in St. Louis. The exhibition presents over twenty masterpieces from seven important American collections. The artworks represent a wide swath of Buddhist cultures that date from as early as the second century CE. Primarily sculptures, these works come from Afghanistan, China, Korea, India, Japan, Nepal, Mongolia and Tibet. The exhibition brings 45 years of authentic Star Trek artifacts to life, showcasing the largest collection of artifacts ever put on public display. One-of-a-kind costumes, props and filming models from every Star Trek television series and feature film will amaze and inspire Star Trek fans and novices alike. An impressive array of exhibits features sets, costumes and props from all five live-action Star Trek television series and eleven Star Trek feature films. The Civil War in Missouri Exhibit at the Missouri History Museum
To commemorate the Civil War sesquicentennial and to explore the complexities of the Civil War in the twenty-fourth state the exhibit will feature compelling artifacts, imagery and interactive elements. Although the exhibition addresses issues with which our entire nation wrestled, topics that are distinctively Missourian will take center stage. Exhibition dates are subject to change. Based on the best-selling children's book series written by Mary Pope Osborne and published by Random House, this novel exhibit invites children to branch out through history via a magical, time-traveling tree house. Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age Exhibit
Journey back through the Ice Age to view some of the Earth's largest and most awe-inspiring mammals in The Field Museum exhibition.
